This comes from Jasper City. Tag line: An outlaw seeks revenge against a city’s tyrant Mayor, while the man appointed to stop him begins to doubt the merits of his cause.
Here is part of a letter, written by one character to his brother. For mystery’s sake I’m not going to give names here, but both characters have been introduced before.
I can’t do it anymore, Brother. You’re a stronger man than I. It’s time to face the fact that our attempts have been fruitless, and we’ve been doing more harm than good all along.
It’s time that we put this experiment to an end once and for all. Believe me, Brother. If there were any other way to go about this, I would jump at the chance. I have given this much thought, and there exists no other option.
Know that I have always loved you, and I always will.
Interesting letter/snippet and definitely raises questions and makes the reader want to know more.
Great WeWriWa #8
Dang, who wrote the letter? Very thought-provoking. By the way, I admire you for sticking with the story through to draft 6. I'm only on draft 3 and it's *hard* *whine, whine* lol!
Interesting snippet. He sounds like he's done…but still has hope for another option.
No other option sounds bleak, makes me wonder what's been going on. Interesting excerpt!
I can definitely relate to thinking you're doing good, but then realizing afterward that you did more harm than good. Not a good feeling. You drew me right into the emotions through this letter – thanks! A great snippet!
Awww. Oddly enough I was feeling the same around draft 3. So I took a break and sent my draft to a beta. Now I just can't wait for it to be finished.
Thank you!
Exactly. Thanks for visiting!
I'm glad I could pull that off. Thank you!
