Not to be confused with the movies.
Editing progress has been great. I’m ahead of the NaNowriMo goals, and plan to “win” by the 25th. I’ve only a couple more new scenes to write before I can call it a day on this draft. I’m so close to being finished that I can see the end, and want to sprint there but know that’s not a good idea.
And with that, I have a new Weekend Writing Warriors entry.
It’s simple and fun. Sign the linky list with your name, blog url and email address on Mondays, 8:00 AM EST. Each week, the list remains open until Saturday, 11:59 PM. Then on Sunday, post 8 sentences from a current writing project, published or unpublished. Visit other participants and offer opinions, critiques, support. Writers hanging out with writers, a good time with a great group of people.
That familiar character I mentioned? Dex makes an appearance. Here he is, with the force of the City Guard about to storm the fortress where the robots (and the Jasper family) make their home.
The tanks stopped, side by side, in front of the Robot Town gate. Armored cars surrounded them, ready to follow the tanks inside.
Mayor Calvin’s voice came over the radio. His voice sounded tense. “Awaiting your orders, Captain.”
And Dex hesitated, the radio silent in his hand. Should they storm in with the element of surprise? Or should they announce their presence and offer a chance for the robots to open their gates?
What do you think he’ll do?
