There are two paths in my life: words and food. Not wanting to choose one or the other for the rest of my life, I aim to do the best I can in both. And my goals in life are not only to become a published author but achieve success in the food and hospitality industry. South Florida, with its abundance of tourists and snowbirds, is the best place I can see to achieve both.
I live in an apartment in Stuart, Florida, with two close friends as roommates and a demonic rabbit as a pet. My tastes in entertainment include anything with a good story, but science fiction, fantasy, and crime genres are my favorites. I’m fond of stories that play with the good vs. evil or hero and villain dynamic, especially those who throw the idea out the window. Some of the best stories kill protagonists and never apologize for doing so.
My first flash fiction piece, Swamp Gas, was published in the August/September 2014 issue of Voluted Tales. In this story a medic travels into the swamps to investigate a distress call in the midst of a horrific future war.
In June 2015 I published my first novel, Jasper. Dystopic fiction with spiritual elements and robots in a post-apocalyptic landscape, it follows the stories of an outcast father and his children on the streets, a tyrannical mayor, and the mayor’s enforcer. I anticipate future installments of this city’s story, but you can find Jasper on Amazon in print and ebook editions.
